Nice shot and good to see that you had camera at the ready to capture an elevator moment! Great :-)
always prepared, almost ;)
and then a lot of luck and some slight ungallant jostling to get to this very spot in the elevator…
Really sweet image, Peter…cinematic. I like the treatment too.
thanks, john. i was quite happy how it turned out. with only one person looking, with me being completely invisible … so again, preparation and luck were a good team here ;)
Ai! Can’t … breathe!
luckily it was a very short ride…
Not short enough! But what a good shot to remind me so vividly that I can’t stand being in a crowd! :)
not my favourite sport either… it’s mostly ok, when i’m in the front row and don’t look back ;)
Great shot, and I love the lone hand sticking out with a camera! :D
the hand is great, isn’t it ;)
Hehe… A very professional one! :)
Cool!

thanks a lot! glad you like it.
It takes a certain amount of courage, lack of self-consciousness, shamelessness, or something or other to put yourself out there by photographing strangers in a crowded elevator. Good for you, and good for your fellow passengers who apparently didn’t object.
point taken, ag. i’d opt for “certain amount of courage” here. but indeed the circumstances of this picture were quite well out of my comfort zone and i sincerely hope i haven’t entered the passenger’s.
Digging the hand with the camera in the middle. Cool shot.
thanky you! i was feeling a bit awkward shooting it but i think the picture was worth it.
Really like this. Love the fact that you were willing and ready to get this shot. Like the post processing too.
thanks a lot. it took a bit of courage on my side but indeed i was prepared to do it ;)
I’ve had this image in my mind for a long time. It’s one of my favourites of yours. I’m lining it up for ‘strata of the self’. :)
