  1. There is a lot to like in this shot. Wonderful composition. The broken lamp fitting, the wall looking like snakeskin and the colour palette offer a sense of faded glamour. I think people visited Biarritz in the 70’s and decided to build their fireplaces in the style of that wall! I guess the bathers are caught in a time-warp between a rock and a hard place.

    1. thank you so much for the analysis. i guess you are right and i know these fireplaces but i think i had forgotten them already. but maybe that was part of the appeal of the wall for me, too.
