Yep, it’s a good tear. You’ve also reminded me of an image I have called Pentimento/Palimpsest that I dug out of my archives just the other day.

All of it, but palimpsest prompted the question.
i see. long story short: palimpsest is of greek origin. i studied latin and (a little) greek some while ago so that’s actually from where i know the word and its meaning. i’m glad it is used in english in the same way because it’s such a nice word :)
